Extra Tricks for Framework "End of Summer"
Featuring Jimmy Simpson, Joey Christoffers, Matt Powell, Mark Beidlingmaier, Kevin Pham, Joey O'Brien, John Provencher, Tore Bevivino, Kevin Nguyen and Alex Subers.
Filmed by Billy Simpson. Additional filming by Davis Trinh and Cory Quigley.
The first half of the clip up to Joey's first ollie over the gap we dubbed the "Pretzel Gap," where Kevin gets excited, is all older footage, some from 2 plus years ago like Jimmy's 5-0 to switch crook, that I've had sitting around for a while that we either decided to cut or couldn't really fit into the parts Jimmy has been editing. Jimmy's gotten Matt Powell, Joey Christoffers and Jeff Colombo's parts finished and is about halfway done Kevin Pham's and Joey Paone's. All of the parts are looking really good. I really love the direction Jimmy is going with this one, from the music to the animations he's using. Definitely excited to see some progress with everything.
It's crazy to see how little Joey was the first time he ollied over the "Pretzel Gap" on Thanksgiving in 2009 compared to the more recent one. It's even crazier to think that it was almost 2 years ago. It was a lot easier for him this time so he did another trick down it that were saving. It still blows my mind how well Joey Christoffers could skate that long board at Baldi.
We've still been trying to film when we can. Just recently Myself, Jimmy, John Provencher and Davis Trinh have a good time skating street around Lansdale. It's been a while since we actually went skating around looking for spots. That's how we found the little 2 set to plastic ramp spot in this clip that John actually got a nice clip at. Tore has been killing it on the wedge manny pad lately. The last 4 tricks I've filmed with him have been on that and they're all pretty amazing.
Joey O'Brien had a real good day at the Plymouth meeting kinked ledges and the rail. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to the session but thankfully I loaned Cory Quigley my camera and he was able to film everything. Thanks again Cory! Joey did a sick trick on the kinked ledges he's never even done on a regular ledge and did one of the best tricks on the handrail that I've ever seen. Good work Joey!
Sadly John Provencher moved out to California for school yesterday and won't be coming back til Christmas break. I'm happy for him but at the same time I hope he hates it and comes to school in Philly with me and Jim. Good luck John! I'm gonna be so envious of you when were shoveling snow and you're still cruisin around in a T-shirt. Thankfully I got to film a few clips of him before he left and a clip of Kevin Pham before he left for school in Ithaca. Good luck Kevin!
Me and Tore were reminiscing about this part when he was doing his one wheel nosemanny's haha. Fast forward to 2:43 to see what we were talking about. This guy had some different tricks.
