Full length copies of "Framework" available at Ambler skateshop and online at

Joey Christoffers in "Framework." Edited by James Simpson. Filmed by Bill Simpson. Additional filming by Collin Bauder, Brian Panebianco, Ryan Higgins and James Simpson.

I'm really happy with how Joey's part turned out. He pretty much filmed this over the span of a year. Watching him and Bauder skate a spot was really great. They both fed off each other and never hesitated to skate some scary stuff.

Melon off the sketchy launch ramp at the Dust Bowls. He was having trouble skating this so he switched to my filming board that had some bigger wheels. His first try with the filming board he got 4 or 5 feet of air. Photos by Erik Mangal.

The aftermath of Joey's smith attempt.

No one has successfully skated this rail and for good reason. There's so much wrong with it. He almost got a fs smith after a few tries but ended up missing the rail on one attempt and got completely knocked. One of the scariest things I've ever seen.

"Standard Definition" Promo

An independent skateboard film by Matt Steindl and Jake Todd featuring Corey Huber, Neil Herrick, Josh Feist, Anthony Tomasetti, Chris Mathis, Kevin Liedtke, and more.

Coming Summer 2013. Standarddefinitionvideo.wordpress.com

Definitely going to be sick. Pretty awesome to see some Harleysville spots getting some action. I was there the day Anthony did the bs 180 5-0. A bunch of crazy stuff went down that day that's most likely going to be in Standard Definition or Sabotage 3.

Collin Bauder "Framework"

Edited by Jimmy Simpson. Filmed by Billy Simpson. Additional filming by Brian Panebianco and Joey Christoffers.

Copies available at Ambler Skateshop for $10 and available online at http://frameworkvideo.bigcartel.com/

Probably my favorite person to watch skate and one of my favorite parts we've had in any of our videos. I knew it would be sick for him to have a part once I saw this clip Penny made with him. I love how his Framework part turned out but I feel like you have to see Collin skate in person to really know how good he is. Collin is the type of guy who can skate a spot different then anyone else. I think it might have something to do with his snowboarding skills transferring. This part was mostly filmed in 2009. I had no worries that his footage would look dated just because no one could really even skate the spots he skated. Stuff like that sketchy vert wall at Wedge. No one could touch that thing and Collin did a handful of tricks on it. Watching him and Joey Christoffers skate a spot was really great. I talked to him recently and he said he had a bunch of footage he's sitting on that I'm excited to see.

Erik Mangal "Positive"

A short documentary showcasing Erik Mangal and his battle with cancer. I got to know Erik while he was going through his treatments back in 2008. One thing that really stood out to me was Erik's positive attitude throughout the entire ordeal and overall outlook on his situation. I am very thankful I got to work with Erik on this project. He really inspired me and I hope others are inspired by his story.

Check out Erik's part from our video "Collective" from 2008. This was a collection of footage before and during Erik's cancer treatments.

Extra Tricks for Framework (Philly Trip)

Featuring Joey O'Brien, Cory Quigley, Billy Simpson and Jimmy Simpson. Alex got a trick too but were saving it for his part. Filmed by Billy Simpson.

Had a good trip to Philly this past weekend. We got some good clips at the Drexel flat bar and Joey did an amazing line at the back to back 5 sets that Ishod Wair skates in this clip. The best spot of the day was definitely the playground with the turf lumps. It took a few tries to get used to it but once you figured it out it was awesome. Joey made it look like nothing. Were definitely going to go back with cruiser boards.

Philly AMbler Contest Videos

I was pretty bummed I couldn't make it to this contest, but thankfully theres been a lot of montages coming out. Everybody was killin it. Really good to see Tore, Joey O'Brien and Pat McCullion in there.

This clip has some sick footage of tore. Matt Militano has an amazing style and kevin Leidtke is too good.

This a longer one that Pat has a few tricks in. His manny at 8:18 was so sick. He was of the only guys I know that can do manny tricks in contest. Joey killed it at near the end of the clip! He should have placed. Definitely excited to go to the contest next year

Tore Bevivino at Ambler Park

Extra Tricks for Framework (Horsham)

Some extra tricks from the last few months skating in Horsham, Philly, Lansdale and Harleysville. Also some clips John sent me of him killin it out in California. The 4 stair in Horsham is my new favorite spot. We've gotten some really sick clips there lately. Joey O'Brien finally came out of hibernation and Alex Subers came home for spring break. Good to see those guys out skating again. Pat McCullion has been on fire lately. He recently did one the best tricks I've ever seen on the William Tennet manny pad. Really psyched on K Nu's second try line at wedge!

Featuring Cory Quigley, Pat McCullion, Billy Simpson, Alex Robinson, Alex Subers, Joey O'Brien, John Provencher, Jimmy Simpson and Kevin Nguyen.

Kevin Nguyen's flip camera footage from Summer 2011. Always love Kevin's clips. Motion Sketch Week One: "The Shuffle"

One of the eight "Motion Sketches" I plan to create in the next few months. The main goal of this exercise is to explore new visual styles and techniques while sticking to a strict deadline. Each entry will be between 5 and 10 seconds depending on technique and amount of other homework I have.

I have been planning on creating this particular sketch for a while. I was going for a retro cutout look inspired by the classic Bicycle playing cards.

"Collective" 2008 (Full Video)

(Follow the links to write ups and more videos on each persons part)

Our 4th video "Collective" from 2008 featuring Alex Robinson, John Provencher, Pat McCullion,Tyler Lindsay, Billy Simpson, Vinni Prosseda, Kyle Schmidt, Pat Owens, Jimmy Simpson and Erik Mangal. Filmed by Billy Simpson and Jimmy Simpson. Edited by Jimmy Simpson.

Also featuring Devon Russell, Nick Shirts, Anthony Forbes, Collin Welch, AJ Skrzat, Pat Hennigan, Mike Yandoli, Alex Candelori, Julian Hellar, Jim Geary, Travis Iffrig, Kittrell Norman, John Kroesser, Mike McCrorie, Mark Biedlingmaier, Pat Dooney, Cory Quigley, Joey Christoffers, James Cowley, Kenny Killian, Jake Hoffman, Jeff Colombo, Nate Cordero, Brian Panebianco and more.

This was probably our most stressful video to finish. Jimmy pretty much edited the entire thing in a week to get it done before our premiere at the Sellersville Theatre. Cory Quigley's parents were nice enough to let us use the theatre for free but I made the mistake of setting a date before the video was completely edited. We literally got our one an only copy of the final DVD finished an hour before the premiere. It didn't even have credits. It ended up working out but it was one of the most stressful days of my life. I'm still very proud of this video. We put a lot of work into it and so did all the guys who filmed for it.

Heres a few montages I put together of the extra tricks we didn't use in "Collective":

Part 1: Featuring Billy Simpson, Collin Bauder, John Provencher, Mark Biedlingmaier, Pat Dooney, Josh Lowery, Kenny Killian and Jimmy Simpson

Part 2: Featuring Alex Robinson, Mike Anderson, Tyler Lindsay, Pat McCullion, Vinni Prosseda, John Provencher, Pat Owens, Kittrell Norman and Erik Mangal.

"Collective" Falls Section. I'd say both the Pats had the worst falls in this one. John's at City Hall ande Eriks at the corner rail were pretty damn scary too.

"Creatures of Habit" 2007 (Full Video)

Our third video "Creatures of Habit" from 2007 featuring John Provencher, Mike McCrorie, Devan Curry, Vinni Prosseda, Kyle Schmidt, Mike Yandoli, Doug Cole, Pat Owens and Jimmy Simpson. Filmed by Billy Simpson and Jimmy Simpson. Edited by Jimmy Simpson.

Friends Section featuring James Cowley, Hawaii, Joey O'Brien, Anthony Forbes, Dan Ackerman, Dave Hayes, Mike Anderson, Travis Iffrig, Josh Lowery, Steve Kahn, Nate Cordero, Collin Bauder and more.

Watching this video now brings back a lot of good memories. For this video Jimmy was getting more interested in animation and After Effects. I was really into the intro graphics when this first came out. We rushed to get this video done within a year after "Focus," which sounds crazy now after working on our video "Framework" for almost three years now. We also got our first decent camera while we were making this video. Jimmy bought an old GL1 off ebay and we bought a small fisheye. It was awesome to step up from the handycam's we had been using for years.

We had a few new guys in this one. This is the first video of ours John Provencher was in. He doesn't really like watching this part now, since he was still learning a lot then but I think he did some good stuff. I thought his bank tricks were awesome, like the feeble to fakie on that really shitty bank in souderton. Most people I take to that spot can't even ride up it. His nollie down the quakertown 6 stair was really clean.

Mike McCrorie was living in Florida while we filmed this video, so most of the footage of him we filmed in the span of a few weeks when he would visit. He actually broke his foot re-filming the 180 over the dumpster and had even less time to film. Despite all that I thought he did some cool stuff, like the wallie on the barrier and pole jam line at wedge. We skated with Mike and Devan Curry a lot when we were making our video "Focus" the year before, so it was cool getting a few clips of Devan to throw in Mikes part. On a side note we actually finished this video a few months before Fully Flared came out and they used the same Band of Horses song in Guy Mariano's part.

Theres some basic stuff in my part but I worked hard on all the tricks and I'm still pretty happy with it. The fakie shuvit to switch manual was the first time I tried that trick and I randomly got that one after about 10 tries. I like the fs 180 nosegrind on the wedge bank and the fakie bigspin manny on the oak ridge pad. There a few tricks I had in mind for a while and I was really glad they worked out. The line with the nosemanny 3 shuv was kind of stressful because the camera was about to die. I had just learned that trick and got it just in time before the camera died. I can't really remember how many tries the nollie 360 manual took but it felt like hours. Thats still one my favorite tricks I've ever done.

Mike Yandoli and Doug Cole are a few guys from Harleysville that I would see at the few local spots we have. Mike had his kickflips really dialed. His kickflip 5-0 at wedge was perfect and his double flip ender was sick. He did the double flip the same day Pat Owens nollie flipped it. Doug would surprise me a lot. He did a lot of sick stuff off camera. Besides Doug, none of else could ollie over that bench at wedge and he made the THP rail look easy.

Vinni Prosseda and Kyle Schmidt are two good friends of mine that I grew up skating with. At the time we were making this video Vinni hadn't been skating to much so his section was filmed in maybe 4 or 5 different sessions we had. It was sick seeing Vin rifle off all those tricks on the Quakertown barrier when he hadn't skated in a while. We weren't really skating with Kyle too much at this time since he moved to Philly while we were making this video, but we tried to visit him as much as we could and film some clips in the city. I always felt like Kyle did tricks the way there supposed to be done. His crook and fs smith on the metal edge ledge in Quakertown looked so solid. His line at the Schwenksville school is still one of the best lines I've seen done there. That spot is way tougher then it looks.

It's cool to watch the friends section now and see some guys who are going to have full parts in our new video "Framework", like Joey O'Brien and Collin Bauder. I'm glad we were able to have a few guys who were in our older videos too, like James Cowley and Dan Ackerman, who were in our first video "First Try" in 2004. Nate Cordero really killed it at the Schwenksville school. All the tricks over the grass gap and down the stairs were on the same day. It makes it even crazier that Nate snowboards a lot more then he skates.

Pat Owens part is just as good now as it was then. He definitely surprised me a lot while we were filming this video. A few days stand out in my mind when I was filming Pat. We went to the Quakertown spot with the barrier a few times and he was running through all his tricks. The nollie lipslide is my favorite. Another time that sticks out is when we went to the Schwenksville flat spots and school. His lines are two of the best I've seen at those spots. I really liked the nollie flip manny and nollie varial heel manny he did at the North Montco pad. The nollie flip over the telford church 7 stair is still one of the better gap tricks I've ever filmed and I've never seen anyone else switch bs flip anything. Definitely one of the better parts we've had in our videos.

My brother Jimmy's part is another one that still holds up today and is one of my favorite parts of all our videos. There's so many tricks I could talk about in this part. His fs flip, switch flip line at the Schwenksville Flat spots is still one of the best lines I've seen done there. He killed it at the Quakertown barrier too. All of the tricks he did there looked really stylish. Specifically, I really liked how the back tail shuv and bs lipslide looked. Jim wasn't really as into skating manual pads as I was but I knew he could do some sick stuff cause he had his flip tricks so consistent. I remember mentioning the halfcab flip manny and after around 10 tries he did one perfect. He did it again for another angle. The fs flip to switch manny is still one of my favorite tricks I've ever seen Jimmy do. I don't think he could've done it better. The ollie manual over the Schwenksville 7 was first try. I was pretty damn surprised. Jim has done a lot of really good stuff at Baldi over the years. The front blunt to fakie turned out really good. The tre flip was definitely a shock, considering he never really did that trick much and the ender ollie was really intimidating. I am glad he is a perfectionist and did it twice cause I didn't really like the first angle I chose. The second ollie he did was perfect.

Heres a few montages of extra tricks and random footage we had when we finished "Creatures of Habit." Filmed by Billy Simpson and Jimmy Simpson. Edited by Billy Simpson.

Part 1: Featuring Kyle Schmidt, Anthony Forbes, Jimmy Simpson, Frank Smith, Billy Simpson, Vinni Prosseda, Pat Owens, John Provencher, Mike Yandoli, Doug Cole and more.

Part 2: featuring Paul Mashett, Pat Owens, Kyle Schmidt, Billy Simpson, Jimmy Simpson, John Provencher, Mike McCrorie, Josh Lowery, Mike Anderson and more.

"Focus" 2006 (Full Video)

Featuring Mike McCrorie, Jon Mervine, Devon Curry, Jimmy Fossile, Josh Lowery, Paul Mashett, Billy Simpson, Frank Smith, Vinni Prosseda, Jimmy Simpson and Kyle Schmidt.

Friends section featuring Evan Warbrick, Devon Russell, Jimmy Burke, James Cowley, Craig Pederson, Andy Ventresca, Eric, Nick Schmidt, CJ Bowne, Dave Messa, Zach Webster, Chris Balch, Bill Luskin, Pat Hennigan, Tim Reardon and Pat Owens. Filmed by Billy Simpson and Jimmy Simpson. Edited by Jimmy Simpson.

Our 2nd full length video "Focus" from 2006. This was when Jimmy was getting more interested in filming and editing. I think it's a pretty good jump from our first video as far as production quality. Watching it now Jimmy would probably say something about all the face shots, long intros and the amount of film burns, but I still think he did a pretty great job for the time. I remember being really psyched when he figured out how to make the text write out on the titles. This was definitely a local friends video. We weren't really worried about whether or not a persons trick was that good or anything. We just put in whatever our friends were doing when we went out skating.

Watching it now theres definitely some stuff that standouts to me. We skated with Mike McCrorie a lot when we made this video. We would skate all the local Souderton and Telford spots with Mike, Devan Curry, Josh Lowery and Jimmy Fossile. Mike was always down to skate gaps back then. I like his fs 180 and switch ollie over the shellys gap. We skated that gap all the time before they fenced it up. Jon Mervine would skate every spot we went to. He did some tricks filming for this video that really surprised me. He never really skated switch, so the switch fs 180 down the Schwenksville 7 was definitely random. I was psyched on the fs halfcab heelflip down the little drop at the Quakertown flat spot, since Jon and I had just learned that trick around that time.

I always really liked Paul's part and the stuff he did on the Harleysville court benches. Those benches were kinda high and he did some really different tricks there. His pop shuvit onto the wooden door couldn't have looked better. The stuff he did on the Harleysville court benches was really sick, like the fakie shuvit 5050 180. I was still kind trying to skate gaps when we were making this video. It doesn't seem like much now but I'm glad I switch ollied the Quakertown 6. I haven't done anything like that in years. The day I did the kickflip manny was really fun. We had a few really good sessions at that Phonexville guardrail spot.

Frank Smith really surprised me with the switch ollie down the 6 in ambler. His ender manny was crazy. Vinni really came through with this video doing tricks and skating stuff that was really out of his comfort zone. His stuff on the orange barrier is still sick. Me and Vin always liked manny tricks so I always really psyched we both got our tricks on the long oakridge manny pad the same day.

A lot of stuff in Jimmy's part would still be sick today. His is probably my favorite part. He was always ahead of everybody. His switch flip line at the highschool is still sick and that back tail on the orange barrier was pretty damn scary. Kyle was the oldest in our group of friends. I always liked his style, especially when it came to grinds. Kyle had those balanced nosegrinds when most of us could barley do them. You can't really tell in the video but the loading dock that he 5050's is so freakin high. I've taken people there now and nobody's even come close. He does lines in this part that I still cant do. I always liked his line out front of the Souderton Highschool with the quick ollie and 180 over the two grass gaps.

Heres a clip of some leftover tricks we had for "Focus" featuring Mike McCrorie, Vinni Prosseda, Kyle Schmidt, Frank Smith and Billy Simpson.

Jimmy was always particular about what he put in his parts. He had a lot of extra footage that he didn't end up using so he made this part as a bonus clip on the dvd. Sorry about the quality of this clip, it was uploaded 6 years ago.

Another extra clip on the "Focus" DVD of some falls while we were filming this video. This has two of the worst experiences I've had on a skateboard. I dislocated a few of my toes when I was trying the Schwenksville 10. I kinda calmed down on skating gaps after that. The other was my awful attempt at the West Chester rail. We pulled up to the rails and I got really psyched cause Jon Mervine went for it right away. That hurt like crazy but it's pretty damn funny to watch now.

This is a clip Jimmy put together of a session we had at Jimmy Fossile's personal basketball court. Definitely a fun time.

The Boys and Girls club skatepark just opened up when we were making this video. Jimmy put together this clip of a few sessions at the park. Featuring Mike McCrorie, Jimmy Simpson, Vinni Prosseda, Mike Yandoli and Billy Simpson.
