Pat McCullion "Collective"

I met Pat probably 4 or 5 years ago. He always dressed little different and skated a little different then everybody else haha. Watching Pat skate you can tell he doesnt really pay attention to the skateboard world, he really just does his own thing. His favorite skater growing up was Rodney Mullen. When I first met Pat a lot of the skating he did was freestyle stuff haha. I can tell it helped him with his skating. His balance when it comes to manuals is pretty insane. He can do some many different combinations of manual tricks. He can do a lot of weird flip tricks too. He is definitely one the harder people to be in skate haha. Pat would come to the boys and girls club when I would be working out in the skatepark. He was so consistent with everything. He would do his lines over and over til he got them perfect. Everytime we had a competition there he would always be in the top 3.

The first day we actually went out skating with him we went to the Landis pad in Harleysville. He did a heelflip manny, double flip manny, half cab flip manny, and fakie bigflip manny in about 20 minutes. It was pretty crazy. Another day we went to the Quakertown 6 set in the hallway. Pat's pop shuvit down it was perfect.

One of the earlier times I started skating with him we filmed his manny tre flip out on the granite pad. I was shocked. That pad is pretty short for flip tricks out of manny and he was getting it every other try.

Devon Russell has some tricks in Pat's part. I met Devon a long time ago too. Him and Pat grew up skating together. Devon is the type of kid that wont skate for months and just come out and throw himself down something. I remember him telling me he fs 180d the Souderton 11 and he said he would do it again if I wanted to film it. He called me up the one day and said he was at the highschool and would try it if we wanted to come up. He ollied it real quick and started going for the 180. He took some really hard slams probably 5 or 6 times and then he got it perfect! Right after he landed it and we were leaving we saw cops coming up. Perfect timing.

I was really impressed with pats manny inward heels. He can do these pretty consistently too so we just went to the CVS pad in Souderton and filmed one. It didnt take him very long to get a good one. Pat could kickflip out of manny everytime so I told him he should try 5-0 kickflip. He learned them pretty fast.

Some other tricks that I really liked was the manny kickflip to manny in Telford. Chop had to stand in the street to block this car from hitting Pat as he was riding away haha. These people started yelling at us right when he landed it. That same day we went up to ames to refilm his kickflip manny tre flip out. I couldnt believe how easily he could do it.

Pat's new stuff for our video "Framework" is looking even better.

360 flip some random circle 5 stair. Pat actually did this twice. Perfect both times.

Joey Christoffers Footage

Joey just got a new GL2. Here's some of the first stuff he filmed at wedgewood. I dont even know how these guys were skating. It was so cold today. Featuring Collin Bauder, Collin Welch, Erik Mangal, Jeff Colombo, Joey Christoffers and Tore Bevivino. I could watch Collin Bauder do halfcab noseslide 270's all day.

Another clip Joey Christoffers filmed of Erik Mangal at wedgewood. Erik always comes up with some complicated lines that I could never do.

Alex Robinson "Collective"

It feels like we have been skating with chop for so long now but I guess its only been a little over a year. Chop is always a fun person to skate with. He always gets me excited to try something new. He is one of my favorite people to film too. There were so many times tricks chop did that I couldnt believe. Things that I had never even seen him try before he would get in a few tries. He is always down to try something really sketchy and he usually walks away without any injuries.

Chop would always have days where he would just get 4 tricks in a day. One day that really stands out to me was in the summer when Me and Jimmy were on family vacation in Ocean City, New Jersey and Chop was down at the same time. Chop found this spot where it was a skinny ledge with a rail right next to it. A lot like the Drexel one but way harder. Me and Jim couldnt skate it but Chop got a bs feeble and bs smith really easily. Then later on we were cruising around and I spotted this sketchy pole jam that chop ended up doing. Then chop spotted this rail with a barely any ride up. He slid it a couple times with a bs board and after a few tries he got it no problem.

One day that stood out to me was when we went to the swenksville flat spots in the woods. Chop was skating the top of this high bench. Chop did a bs crook on it before but I accidentally taped over it so we went back and he did the crook even better. Then he pulled a really nice bs smith out of nowhere.

Chop gettin some air off a wooden kicker at the swenksville flat spots. I miss that spot.

A few tricks that really surprised me were the kickflip back tail and the fs hurricane run on the metal edge ledge at wedgewood. Chop has just learned kickflip back tails at the boys and girls club the day before and just did it the next day on that ledge. The one day we were at wedge and I had to go to work so I told chop that he could try the line with the hurricane once but I had to go. The first time he tried the line he got it haha. We left right after.

The ollie over the perkasie rail was one of my favorite tricks. I really liked the way he did it. The boardslide on the rainbow rail thing in perkasie was crazy and really spur of the moment. It had really sketchy ride up and it was long and high. Chop is the only person I know who can bail on handrails and not get hurt. He stood up a few times on it after a few tries he got it perfect. Right after he landed two guys came out screaming at us. Perfect timing.

Chop always gets something at China Bump. I have a hard time skating this spot but he managed to get a trick there pretty everytime we went. We went there one day and chop did a quick bs pop shuvit over it. Then he started trying bs flip. I remember him saying something like dont make fun of me cause I cant really do this trick. Id never even seen him do it on the ground and within probably ten tries he got the biggest bs flip over it. That was pretty shocking. Chop was the first person I had seen skate china bump with the cart next to it. I remember the first time he put it there and did the crook, me and tyler were freaking out haha. He did it probably first or second try. Then when we went back he did a bs 5-0 and a bs lipslide. The backside lipslide looked so good.

Chop surprised himself when he landed the halfcab kickflip over the city hall 6 set haha. He had tried it for awhile another time we skated there and after a bunch of tries he got one that was perfect. He had the biggest smile on his face after he landed it. Chop thought the gap to 5050 in Lansdale was easy and really wanted to fs smith it but my friend jeff colombo got a big ticket there so we never went back. I was shocked at how he just went for it. I only know a few people who have done anything on there and chop made it look easy.

Overall I really like Chops part and his new part for our video "Framework" that were trying to finish sometime in 2010 is looking even better.

bs 5050 shellys ledge. This ledge is seriously so hard to do anything. Its a lot higher then it looks. Before chop did this I had only seen people do noseslides and boardslides. bs 5050 is sick. plus there is a chance you could fall backwards into the stairwell

16MM Wedgewood Short Documentary by Brian Panebianco

Penny made this sick, little documentary about wedgewood. Pennys footage turned out really great. I got to film Pennys front tail 270. It was really fun using that camera. I love the first shot of Bauder riding and Tore's front blunt looks so good. All of the tricks filmed were first try too. 16MM footage is not cheap so everybody had to be on point haha.

Billy Simpson "Collective"

My part from our video "Collective" 2008. I thought my brother did a really good job on the edit. Its short but I worked really hard trying to get some tricks to make a part. While we were filming I hurt my ankle pretty bad and couldnt skate for a while.

Their are a few tricks I was pretty proud of. I was pretty happy with the nollie shuv manny 180 out. I had just learned fs 180's out of manual and that manny pad at Kids of America is perfect for harder manual tricks. I thought Jimmy filmed it really well too.

The Taildrop off that metal railing doesnt look to hard but that bank is pretty steep and really rough. I would always pass it driving to wedge and one day me, Jimmy and John Provencher stopped in their to check it out. I took some falls and after a few times I got it. Right as we were driving out we saw a guy coming out of the building to kick us out. Thats always a good feeling haha.

I learned pole jams kind of late. Me, Vinni Prosseda and Mike Yandoli learned them together one day at wedge. The next day we came back to wedge and I filmed the pole jam fs 180 and vinni got a line with a regular pole jam. It was a really good feeling learning something new and getting it on film at the same time.

A couple new tricks for me were the bs 180 nosegrind and bs boardslide to switch 5-0. Pat Owens would do bs 180 nosegrinds so easy and I wanted to learn them. I was really excited I got one in my part, especially in a line. I always liked boardslide combo tricks like Kenny Reed and Paul Shier do. That day at the Ambler benches I was trying to come up with something and the boardslide switch 5-0 just kind of worked.

I was really happy with nosemanny 3 shuv and nosemanny bigspin. I always liked doing nosemanny 3 shuvs on the granite pad and it felt great to do it on something higher. I had tried the nosemanny bigspin a bunch of times so when I finally got it I didnt realize I was rolling away for a few seconds. Definitely a good feeling.

The Crook 3 shuv was the same way. I had done one at wedge on the metal edge ledge but my friend Kyle already filmed it on there. I landed one sketchy on the plastic bench at west broad and after a bunch of tries I got lucky and landed a good one. I was really surprised and I think Chop, Jimmy and Tyler were too haha. That was the best feeling trick.

I didnt really think my last trick was too difficult but I havent seen too many people do it. I always liked doing switch shuv reverts on the ground and that North Montco pad is the best one ive ever skated. I had done it on a the small manny pads at landis but I thought it would be cooler at North Montco. It felt really good when it worked out.

I dont have too many photos of myself skating cause im usually the one taking the photos.

Video Experiment by Jimmy Simpson

My freshman final for time/motion at University of the Arts in Philadelphia. The short video is intended to recreate the overload of visual information in the city. Each frame was printed using a terrible grayscale printer and painted, inked, and torn by hand. There are over 700 paintings in all that make up the video. Music: Bon Iver- Team

Jimmy Simpson "Collective"

My brother Jimmy's part from our video "Collective" 2008. I cant believe its been a year since we finished the video. Skating has always come pretty easy to jimmy. I always feel like im just catching up with tricks jimmy was doing two years before me haha. I really love this part. Jimmy did a great job editing it and I think the song choice was great. There are a lot of tricks that stick out to me in this part.

I love the way the back blunt on the bank at wedge turned out and the front tail on the merck banks was perfect. That spot is so hard to get the right angle and speed. The ollie from the high to low skinny ledge and kickflip off was so sick. I thought just ollieing it was awesome but he thought it was too easy so he threw the kickflip in there.

The day we filmed the noseblunt line he just learned them that day. He did it once perfect but I messed up the filming. I was pretty bumbed but he did it again even better. Jimmy always got good stuff at the Baldi banks. The back tail shuv and kickflip back tail were really surprising. I love the boardslide shuv on the aluminum benches. That was another random one that he learned that day and did it first try when we started filmin.

Jimmy's switch fs flip line at the now unskatetable flat spots in swenksville was the best line ive seen there, he made it look easy. Jimmy's ollie over the rail was so sick and it was pretty scary in person. The smith kickflip out looked amazing.

The last ollie was actually the oldest clip in the video. We had just premiered our video "Creatures of Habit" and left for Ocean City, New Jersey the next day for family vacation. We had always looked at that gap years before but there was always a car parked in the way. That day we saw there was no car there and we knew there probably wouldnt be another chance to skate it. He charged at it and got it after 4 tries. It was a really great way to start filming for the video.

Triples on the flatbar!

Extra Tricks (Nov.23rd - Nov.29th) Thanksgiving break

Monday the 23rd me and chop went to wedge. We skated the new granite ledge for a while. Chop fs nosegrind the whole thing a few times. I learned early bs 180s out of 5050 and erik was doing half cab back smiths that looked so awesome. We went to the Circuit city gap even though it was drizzling and chop got really close to nollie fs half cab.

Thanksgiving! Thursday the 26th me and jim went to wedge when it dried. We had a fun session with kitrell and warren. I got pretty close to 5-0 fs bigspin out. Jimmy got a real nice smith kickflip within about 8 tries and a front tail front bigspin aka the jeff colombo trick. He got a close to a lot of other stuff too. The new ledge is amazing. thanks again to brian panebianco and TZ for making it.

Friday the 27th it was pretty crappy out and I wasnt gonna skate but kevin pham called me, im glad he did. I met up with kevin, kevin nguyen, joey obrien, greg jones and devon russell at the curcuit city gap. Joey kickflipped it with ease before I got there and got a sick ollie north down it. Dev got a fs 180 down it.

Photos by Kevin Pham

Joey O'brien no footer haha

After that we checked out china bump. Dev got a nice impossible/3 shuv off the side. Kevin pham got a real nice fs shuv over it, front foot catch and all. Joey got so close to the most stylish varial heel but he felt bad about taking to long so he gave up.

Devon Impossible

Joey varial heel attempt

After that we went to wedge and jimmy met up with us. We skated wedge for a little then we checked out this gap in souderton that we call the pretzel gap. Its from the parking lot of the providence book store to the parking lot of the pretzel factory. The gap looked so hard. First you have to get over a guard rail, then you have to clear about 4 feet of grass and plants and a cement wall. Then there is the drop thats probably 6 or 7 feet high. Joey Obrien bailed it a few times then the first time he cleared the guard rail he got it so perfect. Devon got so close probably 6 times but had to give up cause he was slamming so hard.

Devon's pretzel gap attempt

Joey Ollie pretzel gap. Amazing!

After that we went to Calvary church to check out the rail they have. Joey bs boardslid it with ease. Then he got a sick front board on the outside rail that reminded me of jamie thomas.

Saturday the 28th we skated wedge. We had a good session on the granite ledge. Erik Mangal was killin it. He fs smith's the whole ledge with ease. He got a long fs fakie 5-0 pop out on the granite ledge. Pat McCullion got a nice bs nosegrind shuv and almost got a 3 shuv out. my brother jimmy got so close to front blunt kickflip out.

Sunday the 29th it was really nice out. We started out at wedge where everybody was skating. We decided to check out the Norristown highschool since we really havent skated anywhere else in a while. I got close to half cab manny revert on the pad and Chop landed on a back tail to fakie on the pad but didnt ride away clean. Besides not having success in Norristown Overall it was a really good week of skating.

Extra Tricks (Nov.16th - Nov. 22nd)

Monday the 16th I skated wedge with Erik Mangal and Jeff Colombo. Jeff got a really sick trick on the small planter ledge and Erik showed me his new manny trick that were gonna film soon. Fs 180 fakie manny revert.

Friday the 20th I went to wedge by myself before I had work. I am a loser and I set the camera up on some cinder blocks to film a trick. I got a lucky and landed a switch fs 180 5-0 revert on the bank.

Saturday the 21st we skated wedge. Penny and TZ built the most amazing granite ledge. Everybody was killin it today. Tore was doing some awesome stuff like switch heel bs crooks. Jimmy and Joey almost got some sick lines.

Sunday we started out at the mini hubba in harleysville. It was me, my brother jimmy, Chop, kevin Nguyen and kevin pham. Chop got a nice front tail to fakie and I got a fs 5-0 to manny off the curb. Jimmy already front blunted the ledge a while back so he just started messing around with some stuff. He did a fs 5050 and then body varial off the curb which turned into a 5 trick line haha.

After that we went to the bump to grass gap in harleysville. Jimmy and kevin were messing around with some stuff. Chop got a nice bs 180 and almost got a nice bs shuv until I got too close filming and his board accidentally hit the camera so hard. My new fisheye is pretty much done. Theres a bunch of big scratches on it. That kind of stopped the session on the gap. I was pretty bumbed.

We were gonna call it a day but decided to just keep skating since it was so nice out. Im glad we did. We went to the Landis in harleysville and skated the brick manny pads. Chop got a bs and fs pop-shuvit manual. Kevin got a fs shuv manny and a fs shuv manny back revert that was so stylish and I got a varialflip manny. Thanks to jimmy for taking the time to film most of the stuff today! After that jimmy beat me in skate for a pretzel. thanks jim!

Later on we skated care and share til it got dark. Besides my lens breaking it was a good week of skating.

Summer Montage #2 by Kevin Nguyen and Davis Trinh

Heres montage #2 from the summer stuff that Kevin Nguyen filmed. Edited by Davis Trinh. Kevin Phams kickflip at the end is so perfect! I really liked jimmys wallride 5-0 at the dustbowls, that thing is really hard to skate.

Extra Tricks (Oct.29th to Nov.15th)

Thursday the 29th Erik Mangal and John Kroesser got some real nice manny tricks on the granite pad. Pat McCullion did a 360 manny on the granite pad on a broken board.

I was really sick during the week from 1st to the 5th so no skating was done at all. I guess I had the flu and so does chop. get better soon man!

Saturday the 7th We started at wedge. It was myself, Kevin Pham, Erik Mangal and Nate Walsh. Later we went to the Kids of America pad in lansdale. Kevin got a halfcab manny body varial out first try! Right when I was getting the camera out to film it a cop came up and kicked us out.

After that we went to the little hip near 7/11 in lansdale. Kevin got a sick trick over it. Then we went back to wedge and skated with Erik, Ryan Kuhns and my brother jimmy. We had a good time at wedge. Later on me and Kevin went to Indian Crest Middle School to skate the manny pad. Kevin got his halfcab manny body varial first try again right when I started filming! It was sick. I did a quick halfcab manny revert and landed a sketchy fakie bigspin manny revert. I wanted to get it good but it started getting to dark.

Sunday the 8th We started at wedge. It was me Erik Mangal, Tore Bevivino, Alex Candelori and Ryan Higgins. After wedge erik showed us some spots. Collin Bauder came with us. Erik took us to a euro gap type thing in the lansdale area. Tore and Collin did a couple ollies up the gap. They wanted to do more but there was car parked right near the landing and it made it harder.

Then we went to the jersey barrier that Collin, Anthony Krystopa and I built a while back. Collin did a bunch of sick wallie tricks over it. He did a wallie with some kind of double grab haha and he did wallie fs 180 and wallie fs shuv. After that we went back to wedge and skated til it got dark.

Friday the 13th me, Chop and Kevin Nguyen went to China bump. Kevin got real close to front shuv over the whole thing. Chop got a nice nollie and a real nice switch trick over it.

Sunday the 15th Me, my brother jimmy, chop and Kevin Nguyen skated. We started out at the Rite Aid in Souderton. Jimmy did a boardslide pop out trick and a backlip pop out trick. They both looked real nice. After that we went to temple ambler. Chop and Jimmy got some real nice lines and Chop got a sick trick off the dugout gap. I got some back blunts on the stairs. After that we dropped off jim and raced to pennbrook middleschool before it got dark so chop could try a trick on the rail. Chop took some falls but he got his trick real nice! overall it was a really fun day of skating

Extra Tricks featuring Joey Paone, Pat McCullion, Billy Simpson, Jimmy Simpson, and Alex Robinson.

I let jimmy use the camera to check out my new fisheye and the first thing he did was start singing the rocky theme and filming me haha.

John Kroesser

Heres a video of John Kroesser for the Nocturnal site. Some really sick skating in this. He kills everything at wedge. Filmed by Brian Panebianco, Anthony Travis and Billy Simpson. Edited by Brian Panebianco.

Cardiel and Kirchart "Sight Unseen"

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been sick with the flu for a couple weeks. New extra tricks clip is coming and at the end of the month when they announce the YOUnited Nations winners on the Berrics Im gonna post the rest of the "Collective" parts.

For now heres a two of my favorite skaters parts from one of my favorite videos. John Cardiel and Heath Kirchart in Transworlds "Sight Unseen" from 2001. I think this is transworlds best video.

Summer Montage #1 by Kevin Nguyen and Davis Trinh

Heres clip #1 of some summer footage that Kevin Nguyen filmed while he was out skating with everybody. I like kevins clips cause its not always about how hard the trick is its just what happens when were out skating on a regular day. It reminds me of when I was younger skating around Souderton and just filming your friends and having fun.

Edited by Davis Trinh and filmed by Kevin Nguyen. Addtional filming by Davis Trinh (Pats fisheye angle of his run at ames)

Featuring Billy Simpson, Kevin Nguyen, Cory Quigley, Kevin Pham, Alex Robinson, Collin Bauder, Alex Cassidy, Joey Obrien, Pat McCullion and more.

I love the part where kevin is watching pat do his line and is cheering the whole time haha. Yes Davis accidently put kevins manny shuv in there twice but who cares haha. Chops rail at the end is no joke. That was really scary looking. It has a skinny shitty sidewalk ride up and a ledge right next to it. He made it look easy.

Extra Tricks (10/22-25/09)

Tuesday I got the new Flip video "Extremely Sorry" from the berrics. Luckily I got a one of the ones autographed by Geoff Rowley, I have always been a big fan of him since I started skating. The intro animations are kind of stupid and I think the little graphics and animations they put in Shane Cross part was a little distracting but besides that the skating was awesome and its definitely worth seeing.

Friday me and jim skated wedge for a while before I went to work.

Saturday it rained all day. Sunday the 25th we started out at wedge. It was myself, Erik Mangal, Zach Panebianco, Collin Welch, Jeff Colombo, Ryan Kuhns, Dylan Hondros, Pat McCullion and Joey Christoffers. Dylan took us to the fedex gap. There were so many close tricks. Zach landed on a sick bs bigflip and got real close to nollie backside flip. Joey Christoffers landed on fs flip a few times and then he found this random plastic movable 2 stair and put that at the end of the gap to make it even longer. Dylan landed on the nicest hardflip probably 4 or 5 times.

Then we went to the Moes gap that Joey Christoffers kickflipped. Zach Panebianco decided to skate the rail. He got a nice front board and I got to use my new fisheye. After that me and Pat McCullion went to the church manny pad near wedge. Pat got a real nice inward heel manny. Then we went back to wedge for a while.

Heres a clip of some of the warm up tricks and close tricks at the fedex gap. I felt so bad for Dylan he had it so many times. Were gonna go back soon and hopefully we will have more success. Featuring Joey Christoffers, Zach Panebianco and Dylan Hondros

Heres a little montage Davis Trinh put together of some of his friends. Featuring Davis Trinh, Devon Russell, Mikey Obrien, Joey Obrien,Billy Simpson, Kevin Nguyen, Kevin Pham and few of Davis' other friends.

Extra Tricks (10/10-11-18/09)

Friday me and jim went to Ayers Promotions. New T shirts are coming soon.

Saturday the 10th we skated wedge all day, we had a good time. Jimmy got a nice 2 trick line with some wallie tricks. Joey Obrien was off doing some crazy early grab stuff off the blue quaterpipe. Erik Mangal and Joey Christoffers had a sick game of skate on the ledges. Erik got a nice line on the small ledge and the white bench.

Sunday the 11th Me, Kevin Pham and Tyler Lindsay went to Baldi Middle School. We didnt get any tricks there but we met some cool people. Steve Durante was there and a few of his friends from Italy were there. They couldnt have been nicer. One of the guys named Diego gave Kevin wheels and bearings that were pretty much brand new. His other friend Franco was a real nice guy too. Steve Durante got really close to nollie heelflip nosegrind on one of the ledges.

Heres Steve Durante part from Habitat's "Inhabitants". So sick!

Later on we went to the green banks. Tyler got a nice front tail to fakie. I got a back bluntslide 270 and Kevin got a front bluntslide 270. Overall it was a fun weekend of skating.

Me gettin gnarly at baldi. Thanks Kevin!

Eriks the only one that makes jimmy look small

Tyler Lindsay fs tailslide to fakie on green banks. Photo by Kevin Pham

I didnt think we would be skating at all on Sunday the 18th but the rain finally stopped and Erik Mangal invited me to come with him and Brian Panebianco to some spots. We started out at this tennis court type place in Ambler. They had a nice Eric Koston box and a flat bar. Erik and Brian killed it.

After that we went to the Wissahickon highschool to skate the benches. Erik got a nice bs noseslide 270 shuv and Brian went through a bunch of tricks. Collin Welch and Kitrell Norman met up with us there.

From there Brian took us to this sick ledge spot where you can skate the stairs sideways. It grinded and slid real nice. Collin got a bs 5-0 shuv out, Brian got a perfect front blunt to fakie and back blunt to fakie and Erik got a bs 5-0 bs 180 out and sick noseblunt slide to regular and fakie. Of course I missed Brian's back blunt to fakie cause I suck.

After that we headed to Warminster skatepark. I had never been there before. Its a pretty fun park. I love the long manny pad/boxes and the flatbar was really fun. I learned back blunts on the flatbar and erik learned front blunts. Collin Welch has the nicest fs salads on it. Brian was doing so many good lines and ledge tricks but I got to caught up skating to film anything.

Heres a clip Ryan Higgins Filmed of Brian at Warminster park. The front tail 270 is ridiculous. Its not a mini table thats a legit picnic table.

I just got a new fisheye and I couldnt see the sun shade thing in the viewfinder but you can see it when you upload footage. Im gonna fix it and get it right for the next time we film.

Heres a clip of some extra tricks and other stuff from the weekends. Featuring Billy Simpson, Jimmy Simpson, Erik Mangal and Brian Panebianco.

"Focus" Introduction

This is the intro to our second video "Focus" from 2006. Jimmy Edited it and me and him filmed it. I always liked jimmy's style of editing. I remember we didnt have any program that could make good text so jimmy had to write it out frame by frame take photos. I thought he did a really good job. All of the people in "Focus" were people I grew up skating with. There were a lot of good times making this video.

Roslyn Skatepark (9/25-27/09)

Friday Me and Jimmy Skated wedge. I got a grind/manny trick combo on the planter that I was pretty siked about. Jimmy got a good wallie line but were gonna refilm it cause he didnt like the way he landed. Later Nate Walsh and Erik Mangal came and we skated for a little.

Saturday we went to Roslyn skatepark. It was myself, Alex Robinson, Herb Adis, Kevin Pham, Kenny Killian and Pat McCullion. We got there at 11 but the guy who was supposed to open the park didnt show up. So we had to wait til 3 when the other guy came. We had a great time. The park is really fun, definitely worth the 40 minute drive.

Everybody was killin it. KK was doing some nice lines around the park and was skating the tall quarterpipe like it was nothing. Kevin Pham got a bunch of sick tricks over the hip. Pat McCullion was doing a crazy stuff over the hip and doing all kinds of tech stuff around the park. I got a bs 5-0 to fakie on the brick bank that I was pretty happy with. There was a younger kid there that had the cleanest style and was skating real good all day. We didnt know his name but he had a Chocolate shirt on so we called him Chocolate the whole day. He had the most styled out ollies over the nipple. Chop was killing it all over the place. He skated everything. My personal favorites were Chops ollie into the deep end of the bowl that I made him do twice haha and Kevin's hardflip revert on the hip.

Sunday it rained all day so me, Kyle Schmidt and John Provencher skated Collin Fegals mini. It was fun and it was good seeing John out skating again.

Heres a Clip from Roslyn Featuring Kenny Killian, Alex Robinson, Kevin Pham, Chocolate and Pat McCullion.

Extra Tricks (10/3-4/09)

Saturday me, my brother Jimmy, Kevin Pham, Herb, Kenny Killian, Kevin Nguyen and Davis Trinh started out the day at the little hubba in Harleysville. We tried to fill the crack earlier in the week it wasnt dry yet. That stuff takes so long. We had a good sesh on the little manny pad there. Jimmy got fs 180 revert first try. Nice!

After that we headed over to wedge where a bunch of people were skating. Erik got a switch nosemanny fakie flip out first try on the marble pad! Jimmy was getting perfect switch wallies on the barrier and was off doing random stuff all day haha. KK got a perfect fs lipslide across the planter. Brian Panebianco got a real sick trick on the white bench and a nice nollie fs 180 over the trashcan off the kicker.

Sunday I wanted to go to New York with a bunch of guys but I got back to late. I was kind of bummed but Me, Tyler Lindsay and Chop had a fun day skating around town anyways. We started the day off at wedge. Tyler got the nicest wallie bs 180 on the orange barrier.

Then we headed over to China bump. Chop landed on a sick fs heelflip. Ive never even seen him do it on the ground haha. were gonna go back and film that.

Then we went to the merck banks. Tyler was getting close to bluntslide on the big side and I got a bs 5-0 revert. Chop got a nice ollie over the 7 stair rail.

After that we spot searched around Ambler. We found this sick gap that was covered in these rocks. Chop got a real nice ollie over it. After that we called it a day. Overall a good weekend of skating.

Heres a clip of some extra tricks and random stuff
featuring Tore Bevivino, Zach Panebianco, Jimmy Simpson, Erik Mangal, Alex Robinson and Brian Panebianco. Tore is crazy how consistent he is with everything you can think of. I love when Brian gets denied on the high five hahah.

Extra Tricks (9/17-20/09)

Monday me and Kyle Schmidt tride to skate the aluminum benches at the basketball courts in North Wales. There was a group of young kids there who had a skateboard and were playing basketball. They wanted to try out our boards and pretty much try everything we were trying haha. The one kid saw kyle waxing the benches and decided he wanted to do it. So for the rest of the time that little kid waxed the benches haha. After that we headed to Collin Fegals ramp. We had a good sesh and then kyle had to go.

I headed over to wedge after that. Joey Paone got a really sick bluntslide trick on the little bank if like 10 tries. He got real close to bs noseblunt sliding the big bank off the kicker. Joey Christoffers had this crazy set up on the quaterpipe. He set up the barrier on top of the quarterpipe and was trying to tailslide it but it kept sliding back. We tried a bunch of different ways so it wouldnt move. Erik even sat behind it and put his feet up against so it wouldnt move haha. It wasnt really working out so he gave up on that. I like to see creative stuff like that though.

Then I filmed erik do a line with a sick manny trick over the barrier onto the marble pad. Evan Howie got a nice single trick over the barrier onto the marble pad.

Thursday morning me and kyle hit up the Patrick Kerr skatepark. It was sick having the park to ourselves. I grinded the coping in the deep end of the bowl. Im sure a lot of people can do that but I was excited. Ive never skated a bowl like that.

Friday the 18th was jims birthday! happy 19th jim!

Saturday it was real nice out and it was Collin Bauders birthday! Happy birthday Collin! We skated wedge all day. Jimmy landed on bs lipslide kickflip out on the brick ledge. He got so close but didnt ride away from one. Hes gonna try it again soon. Chop got real close to nollie backlip fs 270 out. That trick looks so ackward to do. Kevin Pham got a nice fs 5-0 to front board on the brick ledge. Brian Panebianco got a crazy trick on the white bench.

Sunday we took a trip to Bethlehem. It was myself, Erik Mangal, Collin Bauder, Joey Christoffers, Collin Welch and Cory Quigley. Cory was showing us around and the first spot he took us to was real sick. There is a curb launch thing that goes down a really steep hill.

The first trick in this clip edited and filmed by Cory Quigley shows the spot

Right across the street from sidewalk spot there was this sick handrail at this school. Right as we were warming up cory was skating the little stairs next to the handrail. He landed and shot out and his board started going towards the street right as a car was coming down the street. Cory was chasing after the board but couldnt get to it in time. The car ran over the tail and board shot up into the air and smashed right into this other parked car. It was insane! it was so close to hitting cory and when he looked at the car he saw the board smashed the rearview mirror. We were out of there real fast after that.

Then we checked out the Bethlehem library. There is a lot of cool architecture there and in the whole city. Collin and Joey tried the double set there but it was real long with rough runway and landing. They got real close. Cory and Collin skated this ledge thing where you ride on a skinny ledge and ollie over a rail. Collin was getting close to heelflip and Cory got a bs 180. Then a cop showed up and luckily he was pretty cool and didnt give us any problems. He just told us to leave.

After that we spot searched for a while and found a downhill ledge. Right as we were getting kicked out Joey did a nice front tail on it. After that we checked out the local shop Homebase. I was surprised how nice it was. They had a really good selection of everything you would want and they were really cool people. They tried to tell us where some spots were but we had trouble finding them so after driving around in the sands casino parking lot looking for spots we drove back home.

Before I dropped Cory off we went over to the barrier spot me, bauder, and anthony krystopa made so Cory could film a trick. It was pretty dark and Cory's trucks were really bad. On the first go he hit the ramp wrong and flew over the barrier haha. It was pretty halarious. After a few more tries he got his trick and we called it a day. Overall a pretty good weekend of skating.

Erik Mangal skating a barrier

Now that there is a barrier at wedge again I thought this clip was appropriate. Erik Mangal and im pretty sure its Collin Welch skatin the old barrier 3 years ago. The kickflip is so perfect and I really dont understand fakie ollieing that thing! Erik Filmed a sick manny trick with the new barrier the other day.

Extra Tricks (9/11-12-13/09)

Friday me and Kyle Schmidt skated Collin Fegals mini for a little and then had a good sesh at wedge before I went to work.

Saturday it rained all day so no skating. Pretty lame.

Sunday we started the day off at wedge. I filmed Collin Bauder do some nice lines using the banks and the new nipple at wedge. Theres a orange barrier at wedge again. We had a good sesh on that. Erik Mangal was poppin switch ollies and switch 180s over it. Chop and Tyler Lindsay were doing some good wallies up it and I learned one footed wallies up it.

Then we headed over to the Prudential rail. Chop, Collin Bauder and Joey Christoffers were skating, Kevin Nguyen and I were filming. The security guard kept circling around the parking lot but didnt say anything so we thought we were good to skate. Chop got a nice fs lipslide pretty quick. Joey got a sick crook on it and Collin was working on switch fs boardslides. Then joey started doing the sickest bluntslides to fakie on it. He landed on it a few times. One time he did a nice split and ripped his new pants.

Then a cop and the security guard rolled up. I knew it wasnt good when he parked me and joey in. The first thing he says is that were trespassing and were gonna get citations. He was a pretty big dick and the security guard was even worse. If the security guard would have just said something to us we would have left but instead he just calls the cops. The cop made it even worse when he said everyone that was under 18 has to get picked up by their parents. So Tyler, Chop, Joey and Kevin had to have their parents drive all the way there and pick them up. Kevins dad had to leave work early to come get him. The cop said were gonna get the citations in the mail and we will probably have to make a court appearance. Sweet!

After that I headed back to wedge. Erik Mangal and Evan Howie were doing some sick stuff on the manny pad. They set up the barrier in front of it and were doing tricks over it into manny. Im gonna film that stuff soon.

Overall not the best weekend of skating but some good stuff went down.

Heres a clip with some old and new extra tricks featuring Collin Bauder, Alex Robinson, Dave Hayes, Rob Martinelli, Pat McCullion, Joey Christoffers and Joey Paone.

The first clip of Collin is probably a year or so old. That was a crazy setup. Joey Christoffers would have definitely gotten that bluntslide if he got a couple more tries. We were gonna save Joey Paone's blunt half cab heel out but he got a better trick today that replaced it.

Tyler Lindsay "Collective"

I met Tyler a few years ago through John Provencher. I liked the way he skated right away. He was always down to skate some crappy spot and thats why I like skating with him. The first trick we filmed was the bs boardslide to fakie on the physical theraphy banks in souderton. That spot sucks and is so hard to skate and he got a few tricks there. Tyler is always trying to rig up some sketchy spot. like his wallride on the barrier. He found a piece of wood somewhere and set that thing up. A perfect example is his pole jam in his part. That was at the telford library in the tennis court. The ground is really bad and there are a lot of cracks in it. Tyler found that pole somewhere and decided to push it under the broken blacktop and made a sick polejam out of it. It was real steep too.

Tylers stuff at the merck banks was sick. that spot is hard to get anything. He did the blunt to fakie so easily and fs 5-0 revert is so hard with that skinny path. The last trick in his part was insane. That bank spot is in perkasie and it's real high. I can barely get a good wallride on it and he managed to boardslide the top and make it look like nothing. good work!

Heres his part from our video "Collective" 2008. Filmed by Billy and Jimmy Simpson. Edited by Jimmy Simpson

Tyler Lindsay Scary lookin drop in. I liked how geometric everything looked

Extra Tricks (August 31st - September 7th)

Monday we skate wedge. Joey Paone got real close to a back noseblunt on the big bank off the kicker we set up. John Kroesser got a sick noseblunt and switch bluntslide on it. He made it look so easy. Then we headed over to the Circuit city gap. Kevin Nguyen landed on front shuv like 5 or 6 times but didnt roll away. I give it to him for even trying that. Were gonna go back sometime.

check here for the attempts:
http://billysimpsonfocus17.blogspot.com/2009/09/extra-tricks-729-3009.html

Thursday we skated wedge. Chop, Mark Beids and Dustin did some sick tricks on the polejam. They set up the flat bar and did a bunch of sick combo grinds. Mark makes it look so easy. Justin let me use his sick fisheye lens so chop could film a nice line using the kicker and the little bank. Joey Christoffers got a massive kickflip off the kicker.

Friday I turned 21! Erik bought me my first legal beer. Thanks Erik! He also filmed a sick line on the manny pad and ledge.

Saturday me, jimmy, kevin pham and herb went down to the city. Jimmy showed us his apartment and we cruised around the city for a while. We found these c ledges that were pretty hard to skate. Jimmy got real close to a front board pop out trick. Then we skated to city hall. Kevin got really close to front 3 shuv over the 6 stair but didnt ride away. I give it to him for even landing on it. I dont get that trick at all.

Kevin needed some help getting on this thing so herb let him stand on his shoulders haha.

Herb probably organizing the next fight club match haha.

Jimmy sizin it up

Jimmy trying to front board and pop out over to regular on the other side. He got real close.

Herb caught me mid yawn.

Jimmy got a little tired

Sunday me and jim had a family birthday party so we skated wedge for a little in the morning. Collin Bauder came back from school for the weekend. Him and some people built a little nipple at wedge. Its really fun. Good work guys! Joey Christoffers and Collin killed it. Im pretty sure they got the first kickflips on the nipple. Overall a fun week of skating.

Monday was labor day so most places were closed. We started out at this 9 stair in souderton. I havent been there in a few years when my buddy ollied it. Chop stepped it up and 5050 the rail! it was pretty scary. The run up is bad and there is a wall at the bottom of the rail on the side that would mess me up. But after a few falls he did it real clean.

Then we went and checked out the physical theraphy bank in souderton. I forgot how sketchy that was. It so hard to skate. Then we went over to the grass gap to manny pad in telford. My brother jimmy killed that thing over the years. He got kickflip manny, fs 180 switch manny, ollie to nose manny and heelflip manny over it. Me and kevin pham skated it together. I got switch fs 180 manual and kevin got fs 180 manual. I took way longer to do my trick. Thanks for filming chop!

We checked out a couple other spots and then headed to the alderfer 2 stair ledge/manny pad in Harleysville. Chop landed on fs lipslide to manny shuv out but didnt roll away. Tyler fs lipslid the whole thing to fakie. After that we checked out another rail for chop to do at pilgrims pride. Im pretty sure tannor west feebled it a while back. Chop was testing it out but we got kicked out before anything could go down. Overall a fun day.

Vinni Prosseda and Kyle Schmidt

Vinni Prosseda crooked grind. Photo by Billy Simpson

Old photo of Vinni on the way home from philly.

Old photo of jimmy, vinni and John Provencher at wedge

Vinni filming his manny shuv at penns landing with Jimmy filming

All of Vinni's footage was from fall and winter 2008. Me and him would get out of school early at Montco and go straight to wedge. He kind of got out of skating once spring and summer came. A lot of that had to do with his knees bothering him. We had a lot of fun skating and filming this stuff. I remember we both learned pole jams the same day. The next day he filmed the line with the bs flip and I learned fs 180s out.

The day we went to Philly we met up with Vin a little later at the china banks. I remember he just learned boardslides on the quaterpipe at wedge and this was a perfect set up for it. He did it perfect but I missed the trick! I felt bad making him do it again haha. The crook shuv in ambler was a surprise trick. I dont think he had ever done it before and he landed like 3 that day. The bs flip on the bank at philly was sick. That thing is pretty hard to skate. The Penns landing manny shuv was really surprising. He got that first try when we started filming. I remember thinking I filmed it bad and he did it 3 more times haha. Sorry Vinni! Vinni said he wants to start coming out again so hopefully he will have some stuff in our new video coming soon.

Kyle always has something weird to show us. Here we were listening to this really weird ring tone he had haha.

Kyle at wedge years ago

Kyle's kickflip attempt at the dustbowls 3000. He landed on it a few times but didnt ride away. I still like the photo.

Kyle has always been the type where I would have to kind of persuade him into filming haha. I try to capture them as there going on but he usually does them off camera. I remember being surprised by the lipslide to nosegrind. That was really random. I like those kind of tricks. Also the tailslide on the up ledge. That spot is so hard to skate. I've never filmed anyone else land something on that. The run at wedge was awesome. I told him I had just learned crook 3 shuvs and that he should try it and he learned them that day.

Heres Vinni and Kyles part from our video "Collective" 2008. Filmed by Billy and Jimmy Simpson. Edited by Jimmy Simpson.
